Chapel Imaginarium Wedding Photography
This is the first wedding where the groom did not have to travel by car to arrive at the bride’s house, because … they both live in the same block! How amazing is that! Our first thought when we first found this out was that it’s so convenient when they go out dating because Samuel can always send Hazel back home and then reach his own home in 1 minute! 😀
Hazel wore one gown in the morning, and she had another gown for the church wedding which Samuel hadn’t seen yet. So we thought it would be a great idea to do a First Look! It was a challenge for us to shoot this scene because this happened just moments before the ceremony took place. All their guests were in the adjoining space waiting to come in, and we also had to ask the band/emcees to clear the space after their rehearsal. So beyond the clean space in the photos during that moment, there were actually a lot of people everywhere else!
We always say, it’s good to have 2 photographers for this moment so that we can capture different angles of the same moment happening without fearing that we would miss the moment. So Alvin would be taking the middle shot showing Hazel walking up to Samuel, while I would be in front shooting their reaction and Alvin would quickly move to the other side to shoot Samuel’s reaction when he turns. That way, nothing gets missed!
Also, head over to have a look at their pre-wedding shoot at Coney Island! 🙂

The Most Awesome Wedding Photographers Ever!
We got to know Awesome Memories Photography through our couple friend who had their pre-wedding and actual day wedding photos taken by Alvin and Michelle. We were impressed by the candid and emotionally authentic aesthetic of their images and decided to get in touch with them.
From the first meeting with Alvin and Michelle, we knew right off the bat that they were the photographers for us. They impressed us with their patience (they took the time – 3 hours – to listen to our love story in its entirety), their meticulousness (they jotted down details of things we said, which, they later used to piece together a narrative for our pictures), and their passion for wedding photography i.e. capturing a couple’s love story.
We were really pleased that the extent of their personalised service did not just end at our first meet-up, but they provided personalised service throughout our journey with them! Alvin and Michelle were always ready to share their advice, tips, and recommendations for vendors throughout our wedding planning process. They were always open to ideas and suggestions and took us seriously as we deliberated over options together. They were so willing about letting us bring our little pup to the pre-wedding shoot 🙂
For a couple as awkward as us in front of the camera, they worked with us patiently, always shooting from a comfortable distance so that they captured natural “real” moments between us. In other words, there are no unnecessary NGs or retakes with Alvin and Michelle. They strove to capture the moment as it passes, so that they do not disrupt the magical moments you share with your significant other in the process of the shoot.. It is definitely helpful that they are a two-person team, because this means that you’ll have two different angles to your memories 🙂 Their price point for two photographers was so attractive we could not resist!
Needless to say, our prewedding and actual day photos turned out fabulous and we are so glad that we engaged their services…and gained two new friends!
