When we first met Aaron and Li Jia, they told us that they first met in Perth in 2010 while they were in university. As they say, similarities draw people closer, and that’s perhaps why we felt so connected to them because Perth was where Alvin and I did our own pre-wedding shoot, and coincidentally, in the same year 2010 too! We were saying maybe our paths might have even crossed in Perth back then! Haha..
For their pre-wedding shoot here in Singapore, we suggested Gillman Barracks during the time when the Disini exhibition was ongoing as we were attracted to the colourful and interesting exhibitions. The most Instagrammable exhibition had to be the Nenas Estate (pineapple estate) designed by a local independent fashion collective, Mash-Up. This pineapple structure was inspired by a pineapple-shaped playground, formerly located at Tampines Central Park. Another of our favourite exhibition was the one by a Swiss, Maya Rochat, with splashes of colours totally transforming a toilet building. For this location, we decided to shoot Aaron and Li Jia with their ‘pets’ – a pair of snow leopard stuff toys. As we always do with our couples, we asked them to prepare 3 surprises for each other before the shoot. When Aaron and Li Jia both told us separately that they wanted to bring their own ‘pet’ to the shoot to surprise each other, we thought it was so cute! A pity that the exhibition is no longer there today as it offered us great variety of spots to choose from within a single location!

Engaged Alvin & Michelle for both our PW as well as AD wedding photography. Alvin and Michelle were patient and gave us lots of ideas on locations. They are lovely people to work with, and we felt really comfortable with them, which was an important factor for us in deciding on a wedding photographer.
They’re well organised, and are very thorough in their work. We never felt like we had to follow up or chase them with anything. We loved the photos they captured for our PW and AD. Have received lots of compliments on them!
Thanks Awesome Memories, for helping to make our wedding a truly awesome and memorable one!
