Laurence and Victoria are from the UK and they contacted us in March this year, wanting to do an engagement shoot in Singapore when they visit a month later. We were excited to read (in their enquiry) that they “love our website and photos β especially the idea of telling a story through our shots”! And that is exactly what we strive to do for every pre-wedding shoot β to tell your love story through our photos. So it was great to receive an enquiry which states our exact intention in their own words!
The reason Laurence and Victoria wanted to travel all the way here to do a shoot was because of Crazy Rich Asians.
Ok, I’m kidding. π The real reason was, when they last visited Singapore in November last year, Laurence proposed to Victoria in the Orchid Garden within the Botanic Gardens. They both fell in love with the country and couldn’t wait to return, and they decided to do so to do a shoot here so as to have more photos before their wedding back in the UK.
To be honest, we were in two minds whether to take on the shoot as April was already a very busy month for us and we were planning to wind down with the number of shoots as I got closer to my EDD in July, but with such a nice enquiry like that, we couldn’t resist taking on the shoot! And we are glad we did as we had such beautiful morning sunlight in the new Learning Forest area of the Botanic Gardens. It was our first time shooting in this new area, and we have to say it’s really pretty! For those who are wondering, the Learning Forest is located in the new Tyersall-Gallop Core of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is designed to integrate with the existing 6-hectare Rain Forest to form an enlarged forest habitat.
We are very happy to have added another chapter to the love story of Laurence and Victoria, and we wish them all the best in their upcoming wedding preparations! π
