This proposal story is one that just makes us go “Awww…” Usually when we receive an enquiry for a wedding proposal shoot, it is the groom-to-be who is enquiring. So when we received an enquiry from Alfonso, we naturally assumed that he was going to propose to his girlfriend. After a few email exchanges, he finally revealed that he was actually enquiring for our services on behalf of his future son-in-law, Matthew! On top of the enquiry, both parents of Matthew and Amelia were very involved in setting up the table of props while we were shooting away with the couple under the disguise that Matthew had booked a couple shoot for them. And when the moment came for Matthew to surprise Amelia with his proposal, their parents were hiding and looking on eagerly at the back! It’s really very heartwarming to see such close knitted families! 🙂

We (my fiance) engaged Alvin and Michelle for a ‘photoshoot’ that was used as a cover for our proposal. Before the shoot, Alvin initiated a meet up with my fiance so as to have a better understanding of the concept and what was needed for the actual day.
On the day of the proposal, Alvin and Michelle arrived early and ensured that all the props had been set up as planned before leading us to the proposal location. This allowed the whole process to flow very naturally and kept a nice surprise for me!
During the shoot, Alvin and Michelle both kept the environment very relaxed and comfortable for us to be natural. After the proposal, they also acceded to our request to have a couple of bonus shots which was a really nice gesture.
After a processing time of about six weeks, Alvin and Michelle invited us over to their home to view a photo slideshow lasting about six minutes, which was a lovely personal touch. Altogether, my fiance and I are very happy with the slideshow and pictures and we could watch it over and over again. Overall I would say their photography style is generally quite bright and vibrant which is our style. Thank you for capturing such wonderful memories of our proposal and allowing us to relive those memories over again through the photos!
