The wedding photography journey of Kevin and Ivy with Awesome Memories Photography has come a long way. It has been more than a year since we first started discussions in the second half of 2013 about doing an overseas pre-wedding photoshoot in Kyoto in Nov 2013, followed by a photoshoot in Singapore in Jun 2014 to tell their love story, and finally, most recently, their wedding day itself in Sep 2014.
Being a huge food-lover, Ivy came up with a unique theme for their wedding day – and that was, Kevin and his brothers would be dressed up as chefs during the gate-crashing in the morning! I still remember Ivy telling Alvin and I that she bought the chef outfits from a warehouse that sells restaurant items, and the salesperson commented that this was the first time he was selling to someone for the purpose of a wedding! Ivy even managed to keep this a secret from Kevin and his brothers by hiding and locking up the outfits in their new home. It was only the night before that Kevin knew what this was about, and the brothers only found out on the morning itself when they met up with Kevin!
One of the more unique and interesting games during the gate-crashing was for Kevin and his brothers to produce a song/performance with kitchen items such as frying pan, pots, ladles, etc. Ivy was inspired by what she saw when celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was in town last year and there was a group that used kitchen items to put up a performance! It was hilarious, and the guys seemed to enjoy themselves too!
After a long morning, the day ended off with the wedding lunch banquet at the Constellation Ballroom in One Degree 15. After the banquet, Kevin and Ivy wanted a few more couple shots of themselves, and with both of them being a little tipsy, they ended up kissing each other almost all the time which was kinda cute to see. Haha.. We hope to see them as loving as that all the time! 🙂
