The wedding of Kenny and Grace is one that I will remember fondly in years to come. Part of the reason is that both Kenny and Grace are such nice and friendly people and it was an absolute joy to be given the opportunity to capture the moments for their pre-wedding and wedding day. The other part of the reason is the very strong family spirit that we witnessed in Kenny’s extended family. It felt like all of Kenny’s relatives were waiting anxiously for the day that Kenny got married. The atmosphere and the liveliness of everyone simply hit the roof! Everyone was smiling and laughing away, all as one big family celebrating the wedding of Kenny and Grace. They even have a Whatsapp group chat and Grace was added into the group immediately after the tea ceremony!
The dinner was held at Red Dot Brewhouse at Dempsey. It was nicely decorated by the staff to fit the nautical theme. Blue baby breath flowers were added to each table. After adding Grace’s own nautical props, it was as if the place transformed itself! Kenny and Grace chose a nautical theme for their wedding as they both work in the shipping industry. It’s really nice when our couple chooses a wedding theme which they can identify with and is something that is close to their hearts.
It was a casual buffet-style dinner, and there were quite a number of guests who came in berms / casual dresses! Most of them dressed to the theme, and came in shades of blue and also white. The guests were entertained by the music of the awesome Jack and Rai! This is the second wedding that we have covered with Jack and Rai, and they are brilliant in engaging the guests with their songs and banter.
The night ended with booze and dance, which is exactly how a casual/chill wedding should be like. We really enjoy weddings like these, which are so much fun. Time flew by really quickly, and soon it was 11pm, and the end of our first two consecutive full days of wedding shoot. It has been tiring for sure, but definitely very enjoyable as well.
