It feels awesome when a couple engages us for more than one wedding photography session. We get a chance to tell their love story through our images in more ways. For Kevin and Ivy, they engaged us not for 1 or 2 sessions, but for 3 wedding photography sessions in total! First up was a pre-wedding photoshoot in Kyoto which took place in November last year.
For their 2nd wedding photography session, it was a casual pre-wedding photoshoot to document their lifestyle, which was their love for food. Ivy, especially, loves to try new and yummy food, and will always suggest new food places for both of them to try. Kevin, on the other hand, has his way around food, and is able to whip up some tasty dishes for his beloved. Hence, with this in mind, we planned a food/cooking themed casual photoshoot!
First off, we headed to NTUC Fairprice Finest for groceries shopping as it is also an activity that both of them enjoy doing. The menu of the day was egg mayo sandwich, chicken/mushroom/capsicum kebab, and potato salad with bacon bits and celery. It was great fun doing a photoshoot in the supermarket as Kevin and Ivy went about picking their ingredients and playfully teasing each other along the way.
Next up, we went to Kevin’s sister house to prepare the food for the picnic in the late afternoon. Being the ‘chef’ that he is, Kevin had his opinions about the ‘correct way’ that Ivy should be cutting the ingredients. It was all done in good fun though, and we suggested that they could each do a blind taste test where one of them would pop a food into the other’s mouth while covering the eyes. Cheeky as they are, Kevin chose a raw mushroom, while Ivy chose a cherry tomato which Kevin did not like. After finishing cooking the dishes, we also took a number of shots of them watching MasterChef as it is also one of their favourite pastimes.
Finally, we headed to Sentosa Palawan Beach for the picnic. I have to say that the kebab and potato salad were good! It was quite an innovative idea to include bacon bits and celery. The bacon bits added flavor, while the celery added some crunchiness. As Ivy used to work in the travel industry, and she absolutely LOVES to travel, we incorporated a little bit of travel theme into the picnic. As the sun set, they took a stroll along the coastline and basically just enjoyed each other’s company while we continued to snap away.
Their 3rd wedding photoshoot with us just concluded a couple of months back as they celebrated their wedding at One Degree 15. Photos on that will be coming your way real soon!
