Today is April Fool’s Day. And no, I do not have a joke to tell or a prank to play. The first 3 months of 2014 have simply flew by, and, guiltily, I have not found the time to update my blog as frequently as I wish to. In fact, I’m a few posts behind time and I promise to catch up on that real soon! :p
The past 3 months have been quite fulfilling for me, capturing moments at a number of beautifully-styled weddings by Rosette Designs. Here’s a Sophisticated Fuschia theme wedding of Vera & Emanuele at Goodwood Park Hotel & GAIA Ristorante on Valentine’s Day. You can read more about their full wedding planning process at Rosette Designs blog!
Next, it’s a Garden theme wedding of June & Andrew at Burkill Hall & Villa Halia. The awesome wedding favor of 10 different types of succulents that had guests raving about!
Another special wedding is the one of a kind venue (a vintage historical boat in the midst of the city) at Stewords Riverboat. It’s a Cheerful Nautical theme wedding of Regina & Liqun.
I also got to know a lovely couple, Richard and Michelle, who engaged me for a maternity shoot. Their little Princess, Clover, came into this world about 2 and a half weeks ago and I’m really happy for them! Having a first kid brings about lots of new challenges, but also lots and lots of joy as well and I guess it makes all the ‘downsides’ worthwhile.
Last but not least, my dear friends, Hongjia and Kaixuan, celebrated their second child’s 1-month birthday in January, and I had a great time shooting them again in March when Clarisse turned 3 months old! There will be more pictures of them in the coming months when Clarisse turns 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year old!
Now for the future… The next 3 months, or in fact, the next 4 months, are really really exciting and I’m looking forward to all these lovely shoots! The one shoot that’s closest to my heart personally is the upcoming wedding of Zhiyuan and Huilin in June. I’ve known Zhiyuan almost all his life since I’ve been best friends with his sister for more than 20 years. To see him grow up and now getting married, I think I will be emotional on that day as well. Oh gosh, have I just made myself sound so old. Haha..
There are a number more wedding days that I’ll be working on in the next 4 months and too many to list them down individually, but I’ll definitely blog about each one of them when the time comes around. Meanwhile, it has been great meeting up and getting to know them, their own unique love story. All of them feels like friends to me now and I feel really blessed to meet such nice people and being chosen to capture their awesome memories. I really cannot wait to capture their happiness. Seeing their true love for each other is what keeps my adrenaline pumping!
Exciting times ahead! 😀
