When Noel and Desiree first contacted us back in early August 2013, they wanted to engage us for their wedding day in December 2013. About 3 weeks later, Desiree texted me to ask if we were keen to do their pre-wedding in October as well! I was more than happy to do so! This blog entry shows some of the fun and loving pictures that we took during their pre-wedding. I’ll be working on their wedding day images and will be sharing them here when it’s ready!
Back to the preparation for the pre-wedding shoot, Desiree and I did quite a bit of planning in terms of locations to shoot and also thinking of ways to incorporate their likes/lifestyles into the photos. I found out that Desiree loves Hello Kitty and she even has 2 complete sets from McDonald’s! Thus, I came up with an idea of having the different Hello Kitties appearing in various photos across the 3 locations that we went to.
On the day of the shoot, we were greeted by a luxurious bright-red MPV which Noel and Desiree hired to ferry us around. It was definitely a vehicle that would make you go WOW. In fact, it’s the first time I’ve sat in such a luxurious vehicle! =) The first stop we headed to was Raffles Hotel which was the venue of their wedding day and also where Desiree used to work previously. The grandeur feel of the hotel was magnificent as we took both outdoor and indoor photos. And of course, also 1 shot of Desiree and her kitties!
Next stop, in mid-afternoon, was a quiet café in the west (W39) where we took the opportunity to have a late lunch, and thereafter took some shots inside and outside the café. Noel and Desiree were really a joy to hang out with. The giggly nature of Desiree and the enthusiasm of Noel to constantly make Desiree laugh. We captured many shots of the couple having fun with each other, enjoying each other’s company, just like how it is in their everyday lives.
With a full belly and some rest, we ventured on to capture some sunset. We were so fortunate to be surrounded by glorious sunlight and the evening glow was absolutely splendid!
The shoot was a great success and we had quite a number of good shots! More importantly, we also had a great time with Noel and Desiree, and now I’m gonna start work on their wedding day photos! 🙂
